- Ingredients
- 2 lbs Sorrel
- 12 Clove pieces
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 3 scoops of Sugar
- Rum to taste
- Water
- Special Utensils
- Big Pot
- Mixing bowl or jug
- Storage Bottles
- Instructions
- Clean sorrel by removing seed center
- Boil 8 cups of water in pot
- When boiling, put in sorrel, clove and cinnamon sticks
- When water is at rolling boil, turn off stove
- Cover
- Let steep for 4-6 hours until cool
- Strain into mixing jug
- Sweeten to taste
- Add rum to taste
- Pour into storage bottles
- Freeze for long term storage

- 15 cloves
- 8 quarts of water (to boil) + 4L afterwards
- Boil sorrel, cinnamon, cloves til rolling boil, the nturn off stove
- Cover and Leave overnight
- Add sugar and watre to taste, then bottle and freeze
