- You need
- Potato
- Pot
- Butter
- Salt
- Milk
- Peel and cut one potato into rough cubes, similar size to allow even cooking
- Fill pot with enough water to cover potatoes properlly
- Add a pinch of salt to the water
- Boil for 10-15 minutes, or until a knife can go through the pieces with no resistance
- Drain water
- Put back on stove on low heat for 1-2 minutes to dry out a bit
- Turn off heat
- Add a lump of butter, about the same size of a potato cube
- Add two pinches of salt (to taste)
- Add a pinch of black pepper
- Add milk sparingly to get it to the consistency required (should be able to peak like frosting)
- Fold, Mix and Mash as little as possible
- The more you mash it, the more gummy it will get
