- Bring water to rolling boil
- Add eggs using spoon, do not drop or eggs may break
- Reduce heat to simmer to prevent eggs from bouncing around and breaking
- cook for 6.5 minutes
- Remove from heat, douse in cold water
- Peel from fat end first, i slide a teaspoon between the egg and the shell to help remove the shell easily
- Cut in half, sprinkle with salt, pepper, soy sauce or other seasoning of choice
